Instant Hand Sanitizer

 

The other day, one of my good friends called me and requested that I find out where the Temple was getting their hand sanitizer because it was so much better than anything else she had ever tried.  The more we found out about it, the more excited we became.  Here are some of the facts:

The active ingredient is Benzalkonium Chloride (BAC) ----NOT ALCOHOL!

The benefits are many but the greatest benefit is that it has a residual activity that will continue to kill germs  for up to 4 hours!  (Gelled alcohol lasts 10-15 seconds while you are applying it.)  This is especially important for times when you are in public, or the kids are in school.  You can shake hands, touch dirty grocery carts, etc. and the sanitizer keeps on killing germs! Go ahead----touch your face! 

It comes in a foam so you use much less than alcohol based cleansers---yielding 750-800 applications per 16 oz pump!  Also, the foam spreads much farther and more evenly getting up under your fingernails and is therefore much more effective.  (Tip: ½ compression of the pump is sufficient for one full hand cleansing!)

It can be used for wound cleansing and won’t sting like alcohol.  It doesn’t dry out your hands like alcohol, either.
