16-Grain Pancake Mix ---- We've tried this and I was really impressed.  I was expecting a 'good for you' flavor and texture------at least, I expected the pancakes to be nasty when reheated and horrible cold.   These are wonderful pancakes that taste good and are really good for you.  They reheat beautifully and were almost as good cold as they were hot!  :-)  (In case you don't want to take my word for it, I have samples here that I'd love to have you try.)

Ingredients:  16-grain mix, all fresh stone ground whole grains (wheat, barley, corn, kamut, millet, oats, rice, rye, sorghum, spelt, teff, triticale, amaranth, buckwheat, quinoa, wild rice), flax, sugar, baking powder, salt.   (You can order this sugar free and add your own sweetener!)

9-Grain Gluten Free Pancake Mix --- I haven't tried this, but also have samples of it for YOU to try!  I don't have anything to compare it with, as we are lucky enough not to be gluten free, here.  I'd love to have the opinion of those of you out there who know from experience.  The price is amazingly affordable for being Gluten Free! 

Ingredients:  9 gluten free whole grain mix:  (Corn, millet, rice, sorghum, teff, amaranth, buckwheat, quinoa, wild rice), flax, sugar, baking powder, salt.  (Again, we can order this sugar free and without flax or even salt free----)

 Recipe for both:  1 egg, 2 Tbs vegetable oil, 3/4 cup milk to 1 cup of mix to make 6 pancakes.

Shelf Life:  Not a long term storage item, but fits in with our emphasis on Healthy Eating!  Because of the flax, the shelf life is 3 months---or 6 months refrigerated.  We can order it without the flax---the shelf life will be longer, but the benefits of the flax won't be there!  :-)

These prices will go up in January.  The smaller size comes in a mylar lined bag that has a cute Christmassy label on it, for December!   Would make a lovely stocking stuffer or Christmas gift.
